Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to go through "recruitment" in Alpha Delta Chi?
Recruitment is a great way to get to know the sisters of Alpha Delta Chi and also make new friends. We hold two recruitments weeks each year, each at the beginning of the spring and fall semesters. The week starts with an Information Night and then many other fun events where you get to know more about the sorority, hang out with the sisters, and decide if Alpha Delta Chi is right for you. At the end of the week, we will offer bids to the girls that we feel would be a good fit for our sorority.

What's a bid?
A bid is a personal invitation to pledge Alpha Delta Chi.

And what's pledging?
Pledging is a sort of trial membership to Alpha Delta Chi. You will attend meetings, socials, events, and pay dues, but also get to know us and our functioning body better. Pledging is a time of learning our traditions and growing to become the next generation of Alpha Delta Chi to uphold our sisterhood. You will also have a Pledge Mom, who will help you through the pledging process. Pledging for our chapter lasts 10 weeks.

What happens after pledging?
If you successfully complete your semester of pledging, you become initiated to be an active member of Alpha Delta Chi!
